Gift cards are pretty nice. I'm not saying I don't like them, just that some people consider them to be less personal. I don't care, they sometimes are better than a gift cause you get to pick what you want that way.

Rain and storms here. Oh and a leaky window still... I don't know if they came and "fixed" it yesterday or if they were working on something else. If they came and "fixed" it though, they did a piss poor job. It is actually worse now than it was before... ><

sorry to hear about the window, sucks to have those issues in this kind of weather.

Pouring rain here, streets have standing water, swampy areas are overflowing...and everyone is driving like its sunday

Made the stupid choice of trying to go grocery shopping; I should have guessed about the inside from the lines in the parking lot (to get a parking space!!).....took me 3x as long to get the few things I need (things that expire so have to be bought regularly)....will remember this and just go without next year.

Ya not so good. Especially since they are starting to look water damaged. So if it isn't taken care of soon we could have a mold problem as well...

No rain today, but cooler. Still not as cold as one would expect, but still colder than it had been.

that is really NOT good pwnd--mold is horrrrrrrrible stuff (having a bad mold allergy doesnt make it any better either), first place we lived after we moved from Boise we had a similar type of issue (we moved in in the winter and they had ice dams on the roof and when it got a bit warmer--it all came in thru the windows in both our bedrooms...the first yard of each was soaked and we had not unpacked yet so many of our boxes got wet since we had just dumped them into the 2nd bedroom....was a really MAD camper then...they never did replace the carpet, but did fix the roof and windows so the next year we had no puddles in our bedrooms).

do not go out today unless you really must--the idiots are out in force on the roads!!! (think sunday drivers x100)....not planning on leaving my house for the next few days after the last 3 days out with the idiots (gee, you would think that if you had to turn left you would do it from the left turn lane--noooooooo, you do it from the right turn lane! --across all lanes of traffic too /facepalm)

Ya it is, which is why we are staying on top of them to fix it... Cause that is the last thing we want!

We were out yesterday and here in a bit we are heading out again for another family Christmas! Then another one tomorrow! Go team go!

Finally back from my folks. It has been a very hectic past week. Glad that we are finally done traveling and am looking forward to being able to just spend some time relaxing at home. Christmas was a lot of fun and we enjoyed it, but boy are we tired now... Time to relax before heading back to work Monday. Hope everyone else had a great Christmas! And Happy New Years!

yep, hubby had to work today too....though he was able to do so from home (has to go IN tomorrow--so I get the house to myself then).

was a quiet new years--the neighbors were gone for the holiday (they got back on sunday--or at least that is when they package in the hallway was no longer there----). Still have a few calendars to change...still cant believe its 2016 (what happened to 2012???)

Getting close to the end of the first week back. First week is always hard with trying to get everyone back in the groove and everything. But almost there.

Quiet New Years hear as well. Didn't do much and it was great. Never understood the big deal with new years. But meh.

yeah hubby had to go to work this last week, hard to get him up at his normal time to get going. Had lots of errands to run so really didnt realize he wasnt here like I thought I would

That is true. Seems to be peoples go to thing on New Years Eve. Lets all get drunk so we don't remember the first thing we did of the New Year! Blah.

First week is done. Went pretty well and everyone is starting to get back into the swing of things. Should be interesting towards the end of the semester when all my seniors have checked out!

Snow yesterday made for slippery conditions today... Wife and I decided not to go out today, so that is good. Just had to clear one car and shovel around it. Still very cold out though...

car is not happy about the cold, but at least she has a new battery so she started (after much complaining and prodding).....need to put the flannel sheets on the bed...just too dang cold now!

Got more snow last night as well. Made for an interesting drive in, but not to bad. Just dealing with the drifting now.

Car isn't happy about the cold either. The poor lil Civic struggles to start some morning. She hasn't failed me yet though.

slept all of the day away (and most of yesterday as well--good thing I dont have a job).....not feeling like doing much at the moment.
Went to flannel sheets on the bed which is nice though the bedroom is still over 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the apartment and the floor is COLD (me thinks the insulation between the floors and the outside walls is bonked...or when the guy downstairs did his remodel he removed some and never put it back).....makes for some cold feet getting out of bed!

I wish I could have just slept all day the past couple days. Sadly I had to go to work. Guess sleeping all day is on the docket for tomorrow!

Supposed to be a high of 0 on Sunday... Not looking forward to that at all...

Hate it when the floor is cold. Thus why slippers are a great thing!

got slippers....someplace, though they have a tendency to make for some shocking situations (like touching the light switch or my hubby....) too much static electricity for them (and not enough humidity in the place). Think I still have some of those fluffy socks ....should find them, though that would still cause the shocks, ah well.

think another day or two of sleeping might finally tip the balance on the healthy side ...so think its naptime!
